New to Central Florida MQG?

If you're visiting our Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild blog (website) for the first time, welcome!

You may be here because of this article in today's (February 11) The Daily Sun newspaper.

See color pictures of these quilts here.

We're proud of our members who submit quilts to QuiltCon, and very happy for them when their quilts are selected. It's a tough show to be accepted into!

Everyone is also excited that QuiltCon is coming up next week, in Nashville! If you're attending, and haven't yet downloaded the QuiltCon app, do so. You can populate it with the workshops, lectures, and meet-ups you're attending, and also search for and connect with other quilters who will attend. This is a great opportunity to look up other Florida MQGers!

If you're interested in, or new to modern quiltmaking, please visit a chapter meeting to find out what we're all about! You're welcome to attend once at no charge. Then, for only $40 a years, join us to receive all the benefits of local and national membership. It's a real bargain, given all the access you will receive - workshops with national instructors, webinars, Fresh Quilting television programs, patterns, block-of-the-months, and more!
November 2018 free Quilt of the Month: "Flow" by Mitzi Schafer @jitterywings
Our February meeting is tonight! At 6:30 pm we'll be at North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road, Lady Lake. Look for us in the large fellowship room.

This evening's program, "The MQG Website," is presented by MQG member Judi, who will give us an overview of the Modern Quilt Guild's website. This is good information for anyone who needs a little navigation guidance.

We hope to see you there!
