On Monday, April 8, we had the opportunity to learn improvisational block-making with Carole Lyles Shaw, a modern quilt maker from Bradenton, Florida, who belongs to the Sarasota Modern Quilt Guild.
Carole's six-hour "MidCentury Modern Curve Quilts" workshop was held at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Oxford.
These are a sampling of blocks made by students.

Thank you, Carole (far right)! And a special thanks to our workshop angel, Marie (far left, back).
We're looking forward to seeing what everyone creates to finish their blocks!
