The August Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild meeting was great! We had 37 quilters in attendance, with seven more joining our chapter. Our membership now stands at 60!
Welcome to our newest members! We hope your curiosity about making modern quilts is satisfied as you begin engaging with the MQG at the national level and with local members, and regularly attend meetings. We all hope you enthusiastically learn about and make quilts with the modern aesthetic!
Quilters attending the meeting who also participated in Debra Jalbert's (MadeofHonorQuilts) July 15 "Leftovers" workshop, brought their partial projects to show.
Debra, who is a member of the Orlando MQG was a guest to the meeting, so she shared a little about the workshop which is based on using scraps to make an improv type quilt. We had a great time at your workshop, Debra! Thank you for coming to our meeting, and sharing your talents with us!
