As always, our monthly meeting was the first Monday in June - June 8. We're seeing more and more great Show and Tell modern quilts, and everyone loves it! Enjoy!
Donna: improv, asymmetrical; negative space |
Donna: modern interpretation of a jelly roll quilt |
Mary: Her own wonky block design; machine quilted on a domestic sewing machine |
Betty: asymmetrical child's quilt |
Karen: Quick Curve Ruler design inspired by a quilt seen on Pinterest |
Karen: Quick Curve Ruler "Deco Shimmer"; big stitch quilted with perle cotton |
Karen: Foundation paper-pieced Palm blocks |
She even showed how easy it can be to make a mistake!
Our program, given by Vice President Debbie, was a demonstration of how to use a regular-sized Fineline glue tip, and Elmer's School Glue, to glue-baste curves before machine piecing.
Members are reminded that we have several challenges in which to participate. Go here to review the opportunities and rules.
