It’s All About Color Challenge
- Choose your own style but make it New to You
- Must be a quilt begun in 2019
- Quilt may be any size, but no smaller than 20" X 20"
- Use any technique
- Be ready to explain your inspiration or color scheme.
Do not use a pattern or someone’s else’s quilt as inspiration. - Finished quilts will be revealed at our May 13 meeting. Updated April 26, 2019.
- Members unable to attend on May 13 should email a photo and inspiration information to Beth
- Post progress pictures on Instagram with the hashtag #cfitsallaboutcolor
Choose One of 11 Options
- Inspiration from January 14 slide show
- Least favorite, or rarely-used color
- Only two colors of fabric and thread
- Only neutrals plus one color
- Saturated background color
- 2018 (Tiger Lily) or 2019 Kaufman Kona color of the year (Splash)
- 2018 (Ultra Violet) or 2019 Pantone color of the year (Living Coral)
- Rainbow colors
- Warm to cool colors
- Use color transparency
- Select one color scheme:
- monochromatic
- analogous
- complementary
- split complementary
- triad
